Multi-Layer Wall Construction

The weakest acoustic approach is a single-material wall, which resonates at its natural frequency and can actually amplify certain sound ranges. ThinkPod™ uses a minimum three-layer wall assembly: an outer structural panel, a middle layer of mineral wool or acoustic felt (targeting mid frequencies), and an inner acoustic panel (targeting high frequencies). Each layer serves a different frequency range. Together, they prevent resonance and deliver broadband attenuation.

Double-Glazed Acoustic Glass

Standard single-pane glass has an STC of approximately 28 — meaning it transmits sound almost as readily as a thin partition.
